"We show that openness, curiosity, and the joy of experimenting is an attitude with which Berlin's industry meets the challenges of the digital transformation in a way that is only possible in Berlin.”
Berlin is the capital of good ideas. Berlin’s industry is already at work on the issues of tomorrow, today. The answers are digital – just like Berlin’s industry. The total of 714 Berlin-based companies are smart, future-oriented, and now also well-positioned internationally. While the export quota for "Made in Berlin" products was still around 15 percent in the mid-1990s, more than half of the turnover is now generated abroad.
A substantial reason for this success: Global companies as well as solid, technology-driven SMEs are working closely together in the capital with a vibrant startup scene and the city's many high-caliber research facilities to create something new. It is no coincidence that Berlin's industry has become a pioneer in innovation in many areas.
#Berlinproduziert, the industry campaign from be Berlin is a fresh start that was started in 2010 as part of the “Berlin City of Industry 2010–2020 Master Plan.” The poster designs, with which the industry campaign is now introducing itself in cooperation with 25 corporate partners, were developed together with the Berlin artist Martin Roller. They show art objects, each of which combines product elements of the partner companies with forward-looking symbols in an unusual way. They paint a playful picture of what the future of the industry in Berlin may look like.
